Cool Beans Coffee was born out of a simple belief: coffee has the power to connect people. After years of working in coffee, we’ve seen firsthand how a warm cup and a friendly space can brighten someone’s day, spark a conversation, and bring neighbors together.

When the opportunity arose to plant roots in the heart of Locust Point, we knew it was the perfect place to bring our vision to life. This community values connection, authenticity, and local flavor—the very things that inspire everything we do.

Our name reflects that spirit. “Cool Beans” isn’t just about coffee—it’s about keeping things light, approachable, and fun. We believe coffee should make you smile, whether it’s the first sip of your morning latte or a laugh shared with a friend across the table.

Why “Cool Beans?”

 

“The name Cool Beans Coffee grew out of my years working behind the bar in coffee shops. I had a habit of saying ‘cool beans’ all the time — to coworkers, to customers, whenever something went right. It became a little trademark phrase of mine, a way to keep things light and positive during the rush of a busy day. So when it came time to open my own shop, the name felt like it had already been waiting for me. Cool Beans Coffee isn’t just about the beans we brew — it’s about the upbeat, easygoing energy that phrase has always carried with it.” - Morgan
